ALL
© by Jimbow James Lee Bailey Hobow

All your life you fight and pray.

That someone will love you someday.

When you find this love so much

It leaves you with a special touch

Look around yourself and see

You'll know that love is touching thee.

MAN AND MACHINES
© by Jimbow James Lee Bailey Hobow

Man and machines learn to destroy,

Ever since I was a boy

Now that I’ve grown into a man

There’s things I don’t quite understand.

Why?

Does he drive his cars all day

Only to see the smog on Frisco Bay.

He dropped the bomb outside of Reno way,

The fallout was too much for the birds to play.

The beer cans on the side of the road,

That’s the types of stories told.

Man and machines won’t let me be

Til I die and in the ground

Man and machines will be around.

2009
© by Jimbow James Lee Bailey Hobow

As the dawn comes over the ocean

I hallucinate the coming of the sun (son)

As the birds dance across the skies

I ask myself 4 questions

Why?

All of the beautifulness of the songs written can clinch the heart with happiness

Why?

As I hear it a feel a togetherness that I cannot throw away as trash.

Why?

Does it seem gay to me to dance to something I’ve heard in the past

Why?

As I hear it my heart screams for the orchestra to never die

Feel free to express that these songs written will never be forgotten,

now my heart is soothed.

This was written to 2001: A Space Odyssey in 1971.

2009 #2
© by Jimbow James Lee Bailey Hobow

This song gives way to companionship

To the stars forever we shall be

For an accomplishment that man has worked

For when we reach space, men’s minds will be blown.

Now time will tell if men’s minds are capable of un-reality

Though he breaks no hearts as he reaches the stars

He’s done away with all his cars

And now, he’s found, his life.

This was written to 2001: A Space Odyssey in 1971.

THE BUG
© by Jimbow James Lee Bailey Hobow

Hey! Man?

You seen the BUG?

You know, the funny bug under the rug?

He doesn’t mind as long as you don’t step

Ouch! You thug, you crushed the funny bug, under the rug!
