Jimbow is a proud survivor, a poet and artist who, at the time of this writing (May 1999), is a five year plus resident of an abandoned landfill in SF Bay near Albany, California. Jimbow is under eviction notice with the rest of the "landfill fleet" and must move by June 15, 1999 (see story: PEOPLE ARE TREES TOO!). He says he would appreciate help publishing a book of poetry he has written. And Jimbow offers to take any journalist or other interested party to this August's annual hobo.convention only accessable via riding the rails. You can write to Jimbow Bailey, c/o 1840 Woosley Street, Berkeley, CA 94704 --- UPDATE Jan 2000: Jimbow left Albany last September or so, and is now living in Mt. Shasta, in an apartment, doing ok, and he says he's been writing a lot; his new address is: 621 Chestnut Str., Apt 1, Mt. Shasta, CA, 96067; NEW PHONE: 1-530-926-2669. You can email Jimbow@iPoet.com.
Jimbow is pictured in this Thomas McCabe video clip.
ps: JIMBOW, HEY I saw you and Rabbit Sunday last (Aug 19, 2007) and here's my email: Bulb@adot.com - put subject "Albany Bulb" and or "JIMBOW" so I'll be able to sort it out. John.
